Babies

I know I have said this before but it still always amazes me at how in tune young children are. Specifically babies. They know when people aren't right. They sense some sort of imbalance or upset in a person's spirit and in turn it makes them very leary. They become apprehensive and clingy. Somehow as we age, we loose this, or rather ignore that feeling. We know when something doesn't feel right, but for some reason we choose to give people the benefit of the doubt. It just so amazing how a little being who can't even communicate verbally knows. If only we paid attention to that voice more.

11 months

Ethan is officially 11 months old today. He certainly gave me an awful night last night. I was so exhausted yesterday cause Phil had to leave here at 4:30 am to catch a flight. He was looking for something and I woke up and could not get back to sleep. Then at 5:30 Ethan woke up! So I had to be up anyway. The day just dragged on. I looked at the clock at 9 and I have already been up for 5 hours but it was only 9am! UGH! So I was hoping to get to bed at a decent time. But then my in-laws called and wanted to come see the kids. They didn't get here until 5:30 (kids usually go to bed at 6:30 and 7:00) and they did not leave until 8:30 pm. Needless to say they weren't in bed on time. So I tried to go to sleep and noises kept disturbing me and freaking me out so I couldn't . Then at 11:30 just as I dozed off lo an behold cries from upstairs. Ethan was up. So I brought him with me to sleep......BAD IDEA. I wish I had kids that would just cuddle up and sleep. Both of them are so active even while sleeping, they are constantly lifting their heads looking around, changing postitions etc. I tolerated it for about an hour and tried to put him back to bed. NO LUCK. So then I put him in one of his baby seats with a bottle. He sucked back the bottle and then thought it was play time! Needless to say he never went back to bed and maybe dozed off for an hour or two and then Emma was up at 7:00 am. So again, we did not sleep. School was canceled today and we are all cranky from not getting enough sleep. This should be an interesting day!

House

Sorry it's been so long! The realtor got back to us and said that we are able to list the house for higher than we expected so we are so excited! We had one person look at it already but they are not sure its "their" house. I am praying we will get a buyer soon!!!

She came...she went

So I met the realtor. She is very nice. She looked at the house and all the updates we have made and said that she will pull some comps and get back to us in a few days.....So now answer on what we can list it for yet! FINGERS CROSSED, and lots and lots of PRAYER!!!!

Nervous

I am sitting here anxiously awaiting the arrival of our realtor to take a look at the house. She is coming in for the first time to take pictures, and give us an estimate at what she thinks it will sell for. I am scared though! We haven't been in this house for very long and I am so hoping that we can break even. We have put alot of money into the house with redoing the bathroom, adding a fireplace woodburning insert, replacing carpet etc. But I know that the market is not great right now. I honestly would like to just break even (which would require us getting $10,000 more for the house then we paid for it. This will let us pay off our loan and pay realtor fees of 6% YIKES!) Of course ideally we would love to get some of our money back on the house but I am not sure. I hate this part....the waiting is the worst! Hopefully it will sell and we will make a couple of bucks, but I will certainly settle for breaking even!!!!! I prayed alot about it this morning and we have done our part as far as cleaning etc so now it's in God's hands. He has always been faithful to us before and I am trusting that He will provide the right buyer, quickly and that we will come out of it owing nothing. My head keeps racing though with the "what if's". I can't help it I am human! But my body doesn't feel anxious, my heart feels at peace and usually when this is the case things tend to work out! So Lord it's in your hands and I trust that you will work all this out!!!!

I will update you when she leaves!!!!!!

It could never happen to me.....

That's what you always think. The worst could never happen, but guess what, it did! Phil went up to Montreal to do a big job. He left yesterday and decided to drive, because by the time you fly it takes up the same amount of your day. He arrived there later in the evening last night, and he went to dinner and was back at his room around 9:30 pm. He went to bed as usual, woke up this morning shower,ed dressed, ate, and was ready to go to work. He went out to the hotel parking garage and before he rounded the corner clicked the unlock button on his truck. He heard no noise! He did it again and still no noise. As he approached his parking spot he saw NOTHING! Someone came and stole his new truck! This truck was not even a year old and it is gone, along with his tools, his passport, sunglasses, and GPS! I am still in a state of shock. I cannot believe someone would come and steal that truck. Who does that? I have always heard stories of this happening but you never think it WILL happen to you. The Chevy Silverado is the #1 stolen vehicle in Montreal and what does he have a Chevy Silverado!

Everything's gone. Thankfully it's only stuff and it can all be replaced. Thankfully he wasn't around when it happened and he was not harmed at all. God only knows what would have happened if he had walked out there while they were taking it. They are seasoned theives though. Phil has Onstar in his car and these guys somehow hacked into the Onstar system and made Onstar's records look as if he canceled the service last year. However, we know this is NOT true because just last month he had the truck towed because it was not starting and Onstar was the one he called.

I think the thing that bothers me most out of all of this, is How can someone do this and live with themselves? I would like to think that all humans have some sort of conscience, but who knows? How could you sleep at night? Here we are just average Joe's, Phil works his ass off to give us a good life and nice things and some scumbag can come in and steal our truck from us! Thankfully we have what is important and we are good people and that's what counts, not the STUFF! It just blows my mind! I can't even begin to wrap my head around this!

Pray for us!!!

As you all know we are looking for a new house! We got the go ahead from the company so we are now actively looking and I really want to be in the new house by April 1st! It's perfect timing to get this house on the market and ready for sale. We were originally looking for a rental home because even though the company will be paying for our house here, the mortgage is still in our name and we can't afford to have 2 mortgages in our names. So after much searching we decided to look for a rent to own property. Phil is going to look at both of them this week since he has a job out that way. I am have fallen in love with this one house in particular and I am hoping that we will get this one. A very nice woman owns the property and is eager to rent to a "nice family" as she put it, who will enjoy it as much as she did while raising her family. We have only seen a picture of the outside so I am hoping the inside is as nice as it sounds. It is 5 bed, 2 baths, has a garage, land, and a barn for horses. Oh yah and an inground pool! I LOVE SWIMMING and I want a pool so badly!

The woman sounds so nice and she is willing to sell it to the right people when the time is right for everyone! She seems very patient and ended the conversation with God Bless and I really think she would be great to rent from. So if you would and you think of it, please say a prayer for us that this is OUR house and if not then God will bring us something even better.

To me it seems perfect...great house with everything we are looking for, nearby schools, close to family yet still far enough away to have privacy and amenities nearby (food shopping etc)

I will keep you updated!!!! I really hope this is our house!!!
