Superwoman.............

As a woman we are expected in alot of ways to be everything, and do everything for everyone. We go through life, cook, clean, do laundry, birth, and rear children...often times well at least much of the time mostly on our own. Our husbands go off to work and don't get me wrong they do work hard at what they do, but in a way when they get home their job ends. We were made to give.....to sacrifice for everyone else, but who sacrifices for us?

Why is it in our lives when we ask for help, or when we are overwhelmed with something we are always looked at as bad people, or even weak people. We all have trials in our lives and rough patches, but it's a shame that we have to hide the fact that we are human and are not perfect. Just like most people we get overwhelmed, we are lonely, afraid, and at times feel like the whole world is against us. We always get through it, and in the long run become stonger people for it.
There are so many relationships in my life right now that I just sit back and question. Why are certain people in my life when they seem more of a burden then a blessing?(no not my son, though he is a challenge at times) The challenge presents itself all the time, and though things are fine for a while the waves come and the difficulty begins all over again. The guilt for somehow feeling responsible for these people is enormous and then there is a sense of loyalty to them as well. Like it's my job to save people who do not want to be saved. It seems so hopeless at times.

It's hard to take on the burden of these people when so much is going on in your own lives. These people can vent all of their problems and not be looked upon as a bad person, but you even speak one word of weakness to them and you are automatically looked at as unfit, insignificant, and unworthy of their attention. They cut you down, and always make you feel guilty for feeling a certain way, or even hold things against you. So you sit in silence taking on the weight of the world, along with their heavy burdens. Their problems are always worse then yours. You are constantly made to feel like your situation is golden compared to theirs. And perhaps sometimes it is, but we aren't looking for anything more than a sympathetic non-judgmental ear.

Many think that because we stay home, we somehow have it easier. That we sit all day and eat bon bons.........now don't get me wrong I do have my lazy days, especially lately........but we are looked at as less because we "just stay home with our kids". Isn't that one of the most important jobs in the world though? We are raising future members of society....and it's hard to shape the lives of these little people. If they turn out wrong, alot of it falls back on the job we did as parents.

I am really sick of the fake ingenuine people with comments that spew from their mouth like nothing. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. They make theirselves out to be the saviour of the universe, and behind closed doors they are the complete opposite. Do they somehow think that they are REALLY this great, or do they know that they are fake as can be?

Now please don't jump to conclusions on who "these people" may be. They are no one really close to me, just people who surround me that I can't get away from, that seem to be nothing but poison in my life. Just some thoughts that I had, and the need to vent! Ok enough ranting...off to shower before the baby wakes up!

I think this is a really awesome point that a lot of people think but never voice. I'm glad to see that you did just that! Whoever these people are do not deserve to be in your life if they cause you ill feelings PERIOD!
