Today is going to be an interesting day, I can tell already! Phil left for the airport this morning at 5 am. This is the first time we have been away from him in about 3 weeks! It was nice having him around everyday....but work calls. I woke up this morning to my alarm clock called Ethan. He was screaming in his crib at 7 am wanting his milk. I tried to keep him quiet as Emma was still sleeping and I did not want him to wake her. She and Phil had a late night at the rodeo last night and she needed every last minute of sleep she could get. So we snuck downstairs to get the sippy of milk he so longed for. He drank his milk, and then it was much of the same....cry, cry, cry. What the heck? He is still not quite a happy camper which means nap time will come early today.
As for Emma, she woke up about an hour later saying she was still tired. For those of you who know Emma know that naps and her don't mix. She refuses and fights to the death before she will nap. So when she woke up saying she was still tired I told her that she could eat and go back to bed........NO was her response! I know that she will be cranky today. She is already whiny. Oye! What a day today will be. Thankfully I feel pretty good today and I think I am ready for the challenge.
Emma also said she had a nightmare last night. I asked her to tell me about it. She said she and her cousin and me and my sister Ashley went out for ice cream, and everybody got ice cream except for her. Haha! What a nightmare. Mine usually consist of dying, falling, mass destruction of the whole world etc.....hers are she doesn't get ice cream. Oh to be a child again!

No ice cream?

It's here
This morning I woke up and felt awful! I felt so sick to my stomach and overheated it wasn't even funny. I have very mixed feelings about this impending sickness as I really take comfort in it as I know the baby is growing, but on the other hand I really loathe throwing up everyday. Luckily I did not throw up this morning so that is good. I was starting to get worried as I wasn't feeling sickness at all, but then I thought I was further along than I was.
I just ordered this herbal supplement recommended by obstetricians for morning sickness, it is called Morning Sickness Magic. It has Ginger, B6, and Folic Acid in it and I am so hoping this will help ease some of my symptoms. I know it only lasts a few weeks but those weeks seem to drag on, and I now have 2 children I have to feed everyday.....and just the thought of food can make me queesy. Fingers crossed that this works!
I still can't believe we are having another little one. I've walked around for weeks with this little secret growing inside of me, and to some extent it almost seems unbelievable. And then you go to the doctors and have an ultrasound and you see the little heart pumping away on the screen. It is so amazing! I am in awe, again! I am really trying to cherish every single moment of this child's growth because I know this will be my last. It's sad in a way. But I am oh so thankful for what I have been given and very excited to see these guys grow and to see what kind of people they turn out to be.
Speaking of growing....I just got Emma's package for school. She starts September 3rd! :( My baby is in kindergarten.....YIKES! I am glad I opted for public school this year though, as I know I would not have been able to school her here at home with Ethan, and being pregnant and sick. I am excited and nervous for her all at the same time. Her teacher has a website and we logged on to take a look at her. She seems very nice. We will get to meet her on the 3rd and parents get to stay all day with the kids to help ease any fears. I am such a sap...I was crying just reading the packet. I can't believe how old she is.....yet she is not that old at all.
Ok...enough of my blubbering. I need to take a shower and start my day. I will keep you all posted!

Scratch that
I just realized I am too exhausted to take a bath. How funny is that? There is no work involved and it is relaxing, but I just can't bear the thought of hauling my butt in the bathroom right now. So piggy me not only way over ate today, but am also still wearing the same clothes I slept in and have not showered since yesterday. Oh well...there is always tomorrow. Thank God Phil hasn't complained about it! I don't stink or anything.....so that's a plus LOL! After all I did just shower, shave, repaint my toe nails all for the doctor yesterday! haha! I was thinking about that....how we go all out when we go in for a physical....why is that? Shouldn't we do that more for our hubby's too? Answer: Yes we should, but thankfully he loves me just the way I am, and he had a thing or two to do with my condition right now.....so shower....you will have to wait until tomorrow. Couch am blankie......here I come.
Oh yah and I was woken up at least 3 times by my son last night...and once by my daughter. Ethan did not want to sleep an ended up in our bed, and Emma woke up asking daddy to find her "soft" blanket.....only he wasn't waking up...perhaps he was pretending he didn't hear her but I ended up getting up and finding it for her. So not that I am making excuses but this is probably why I am tired as well. Little sleep, cranky baby today......yah that's it!

Oink, Oink
I am such a pig today.
I know I said this in my previous post but I never remember being this hungry with any of my other babies.
So for the run down...today I ate:
2 blueberry nutri-grain waffles
Baked potato with Franks hot sauce
Turkey and cheese sandwich on wheat bread
Chips and Salsa
Nutter Butter crackers
Banana
3 hard tacos with chicken for dinner
1 bowl of ice cream
I hope this pregnancy isn't one where I am FOREVER hungry. I wonder if it is twins? We would both crap our pants....guess we will find out Friday. Though I doubt it, as the doctor never gave any indication that I am bigger than I should be at this time.
Anyway, I have been doing a lot of cleaning today all the while trying to deal with my cranky baby. I guess those teeth are coming in cause he is not sleeping at night and he is VERY cranky.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Phil was home tonight and did the dishes for me, which was really sweet of him. He doesn't do it often and you never really think about how nice it is for someone to do it since I do it all the time. Plus our dishwasher is broken so they are all done by hand at the moment which, as you know, is very time consuming. Now he is off fishing with Emma so I am all alone....peace and quiet. I think I am going to go take a bath!!! What a great hubby I have!

We're back!
We are home now and trying to get things back to normal around here. Boy what a draining two weeks it has been. I love seeing everyone, but there truly is no place like home!
I had my first doctor's appointment yesterday. As of today I am 7 weeks 5 days along. I will be 8 weeks on Friday and I also have an ultrasound that day as well. I am very excited to see this little peanut!
I am tired. Very tired. I have not really had any major sickness yet. Which is good but bad. The only time I had no sickness is the time I had a miscarriage. By this time in my pregnancy with Ethan I was puking every day. With Emma, it started around this time. Don't get me wrong, I don't WANT to puke. I am just hoping that all is well.
I am also extremely hungry. I don't remember being this hungry with my other kids. I had 2 nutri-grain waffles at about 9 am, then I had a baked potato smothered in hot sauce at 11 am and I am hungry again so I am thinking I am going to make myself a sandwich. It is now 12:20 here!!!
In other news....Ethan pooped on the potty today! I was shocked! I saw the tell tale signs that he was working up a poop and asked if he wanted to go potty. He shook his head yes. I held him on the big potty and he proceeded to push until it came out and then told me he was all done. We wiped, got a treat and went on with the day. Now I am not getting too excited as he is not even 16 months old yet, but I am hoping that maybe, just maybe he will be well on his way to be trained by the time the baby arrives. That would be really great! We shall see though. I really need to go out an purchase a small potty that is easily accessible to him so that it's less intimidating to go.
Well I should go for now. The kids are hungry and I need to make us some lunch!!! I will update soon and hopefully will have some pics to post of the new little bundle on Friday.

One last post....
...for this week before we head off to our family reunion. We leave this afternoon. It's going to be so much fun relaxing for a few days. We get to go and be cooked for and cleaned up after...what more could a mom want?
It is supposed to be deathly hot here and that's the only thing I worry about. It will be well into the 90's all weekend and HUMID! I hate humidity.
My chest is aching. Ouch!
Well I better go get packing. Most of it is done, I just need to grab the last minute essentials...toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo etc.
I am so excited for tomorrow night for obvious reasons. My heart is pumping just thinking of it. I am not sure how people will react. I am thinking good, but you never know. Another one of those "don't set your expectations too high, you'll just be disappointed."
Ok, I really have to get moving now. It is 9:30 am and I have lots to do, including giving the house a once over just in case we get a showing....which is highly unlikely but you never know.
So long for now.....I will have lots of updates when we get home!

Blah
I am taking a risk and posting some things on here ahead of time but oh well.
So I feel sick today. Good but bad.
I want chicken....can't get enough chicken....guess that's better than candy bars.
My chest hurts.
Any questions?
HAHA!
Now if you will excuse me, I have to go use the bathroom............again!
