I am at a point now where I am starting to panic. The income flow keep getting less and less. I am $1200 short this month and I have no clue where the money is going to come from. I don't know what else we can do. I have been praying that Phil get a new job for literally months, if not a year already. He has sent out, I would guess, at least 100 resumes...no joke. His goal at this point in one per day. We have made cut backs (no phone anymore, $10 cable, one car) I just don't know what else to do. All of the Bible verses I get lately seem like they are speaking loud and clear, but I don't see any results. I think I may be impatient.
I certainly hope that people don't think I am not grateful because really I am. I am glad that he even has a job. I just don't see how we are going to do this. If things stay the same (which they aren't...they keep getting worse every month) we have taken a $30,000 pay cut from last yr. We do not have this extravagant lifestyle. I don't want to be rich, just enough to get by and it's not happening this month. I still have a little bit of faith that something will come through but it's only because of the verses I get every day. I am hoping that small mustard seed of faith will get me through.
Here are my verses for the past few days.
The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.
~ Nahum 1:7, NLT
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
~ 1 Peter 5:7, NLT
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
~ Philippians 4:6, NLT
Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.
~ John 14:1, NLT
For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
~ 2 Corinthians 4:17, NLT
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
~ 1 Peter 5:7, NLT
For I am waiting for you, O Lord. You must answer for me, O Lord my God.
~ Psalm 38:15, NLT
I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain.

Anyone got Visine?
Today marks the 12th day of pink eye. I am not one to run to the doctor's for every little thing. I never have been. But I have been twice for myself within 5 days! The doctor gave me drops for my eyes and told me to use them 4 times a day for 5 days. Except it never got better. Actually for a while there it got worse. After some research I have come to discover that the pink eye is viral. I have it in both eyes, it can last for up to a month, it's highly contagious, there is no treatment and it really stinks.
I think it's starting to get better now. My eyes are still really red, but they are less crusty in the mornings. I can actually open my eyes when I wake up!!!
I am just praying by the end of this week, it is better. We have a cook out to go to on Saturday and people run from you like you have the plague when they see pink eyes!!!
Luckily Ethan's is cleared up and no one else in my family has caught it so I guess I am doing a good job of preventing the spread of it. Let's just pray it stays that way!

LISTEN!
Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.
~ Proverbs 18:13, NLT
Ok so I must admit, that I am the first person to claim that no one ever listens to me. But me not listen.....NEVER! How dare you even say that? But lately I realize that I don't listen to everything. I hear the noise but don't hear the words. I've had to hold back several times and bite my tongue and hear things the whole way through before I let my emotions get the best of me. This is a hard one to do!
I challenge you to do this. Don't assume you know what your husband is going to say, and cut him off with your answer. Let the man speak, before you jump on him.
When you child comes to you for the 100th time today to tell you something really listen to what they are saying. You never know what you may miss out on.

Desperately Seeking Blankie
Meet blankie. Blankie was a gift from my SIL's to my son when he was born.He is now 2 1/2 and loves his blankie. He sleeps with him every night.
Meet taggie. Taggie is what Ethan calls the tag on blankie. He slips his finger through the tag at night and sleeps like that. He also chews on taggie. Not sure why...he must taste good I guess. As you can see taggie is starting to separate from blankie.
Blankie has been chewed on, puked on, peed on, dragged around the yard by the dog, and loved very very much.
Blankie is quickly deteriorating and I need a new blankie! Except I can't find the same one anywhere. This one came from Old Navy. I have checked at many Old Navy stores, the gap and ebay. No luck! If anyone reading this comes along a blanket like this....doesn't have to be this print..it came in prints with several different kinds of jungle animals...please, please, please let me know. If you see it in a store by you I will pay you to get it and send it to me. I am going to do my best to patch this one up, but Blankie is made from a very light weight cotton and I am afraid that we will not be able to salvage him to many times.

IMPORTANT
Please, please, please take the time TODAY to contact your congressmen and urge them to vote NO on universal healthcare. I know it all sounds good, but I know so many people with this health care who live in Canada. Let me tell you it's not a good thing.
You are assigned a doctor and are not allowed to change. Who you get is who you get.
Your health is assessed yearly and you are given a rating 1-3. If you are a 3 you basically don't get care. This is for those who have cancer, diabetes etc.
Double whammy if you are old. I know a woman who is 58. She has cancer and lives in Canada. She was told there was nothing they can do for her without even giving her a chance a chemo, radiation, surgery...NOTHING! Now she has to die, because the government feels she has lived long enough and even if she does get better the overall return on "their" investment will not pay off.
This is SO not a good thing. Please this cannot go through. We have a voice...speak up. Every voice does count. Lets prevent this from happening.
We live in a great country. People come here everyday for freedoms that we have. This may start with telling which doctor to see, and if you are worthy of care...but where will it end? Will they soon come in and tell us where to live? Will they tell us what to eat? What to watch on the television. We are a great FREE country and the government has no business making decisions for our health and welfare.
So please as soon as you read this contact your congress person. You can find out who they are at Congress.org.
Thank you!

And the winner is.......
POISON IVY! I have 5 little dots of poison ivy on my arm. I have never had poison ivy before, but come to find out I am severely allergic to it. So in reaction to that I have hives all over my legs. Though they don't feel like hives. Granted they are itchy, but they feel like they are bruised as well. It's very strange. I don't wan to know what would happen if I had a bad case of poison ivy...hopefully I will never find out.
For now I am on antihistamines and I bought poison ivy soap to wash the affected area. It's funny cause that bothers me the least out of everything! He said to watch it and if it gets worse or turns purple (the hives that is) then to go back immediately. other than that I am ok. Thank God.
So I feel stupid for going to the doctors over poison ivy and hives but hey better safe then sorry.

Not feeling well
***UPDATE***Pics of my legs
***UPDATE**** I talked to my mom and she knows a lot about ailments. She believes that I have shingles. GREAT! Just what I needed, this day hasn't been the greatest day of my life and now this! UGH! I would actually prefer shingles over mono if that makes any sense. Though shingles is more painful it is not contagious unless someone touches an oozing blister. Mono is contagious by a cough, kiss, sharing drinks etc. If it is mono then I will have to miss out on alot of things...one of which may be my sisters wedding.
However, my mom did say I had HSV-1 (herpes in the mouth) when I was a baby. Once the original flare up is gone it lies dormant in your body until it decides to rear its ugly little head again. And guess what? Herpes causes shingles. I guess I will know for sure tomorrow!
I don't really know what's going on with me these days. I haven't been feeling great. Mostly just tired but I chocked it up to me forgetting my Vitamin D pills when I went to VT for a week. On Monday I noticed a weird type of rash on my arm. I have 4 hard, itchy bumps that seem to be under the skin. Very weird, and annoying but I can deal with it.
That is until yesterday when over the course of the day I began to get a rash all over my right leg. Not to unusual I figured perhaps it was the heat or maybe even an allergic reaction. When I woke up this morning it was pretty bad. Very red and inflamed and now it's not only itchy but sore to touch. Very strange. Now it's spreading all over my other leg. I called the doctors and they are going to see me tomorrow at 10:15. But just when I thought it couldn't get worse I discovered a weird wave like pattern on the sides of my tongue and the peaks are white. I will attach a pictures so you can see what I am talking about. It's really weird. I am thinking....but hoping it's no mono. There is so much coming up and I am not going to be able to do if I have mono. Where the heck would i have gotten it from? Well thats my story for now. We shall see tomorrow.
